The film
Moth Hours wrote ‘Saltwater’ on the island where their drummer grew up, so that’s where we went. We had one afternoon, four dancers and a gale that arrived three hours early.
Ayla Demir rebuilt the choreography around the wind in forty minutes. I shot on 4:3, close and low, and let the weather do the blocking.
